Mess Hall Press : Screen Printing for Teens

Overture Center Welcomes Mess Hall Press

Date: Jul 05, 2006

On Thursday, July 6, from 5 to 7 p.m., Madison’s Mess Hall Press will celebrate the opening of a two-month residency at Overture Center’s Gallery II. More than 30 different screen-printed posters produced to promote teen-related events throughout the community will be on display.

The Overture Center show will be the first of its kind for Mess Hall Press, a design mentoring program based in a small studio off the kitchen of the Lussier Teen Center.

“We’ve been operating somewhat under the radar here in Madison for almost three years now,” says Scott Pauli, Founder and Co-Director of Mess Hall Press. “We’re excited to present what we’ve been up to, particularly in a setting of this scale. I’m confident people will be surprised by the level of talent they see—and hopeful that the show will help us recruit even more teens interested in the arts.”
